| ACEO ~ Art Cards, Editions, and Originals Art Cards or Miniatures were the rage in the 16th century. They were mostly portraits and were sold - wallet photos. In the 1700's the English picked up in the idea for advertising. During the Impressionist Age, artists traded art cards amongst themselves to study each others techniques. Today there is a resurgence of handmade art cards for sale - ACEO Art Cards are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. When collecting ACEO's, you can keep them in standard trading cards sleeves, or mat and frame them. Collecting allows you to gather a broad range of art from many artists at an affordable price. |
